ATrad Helps Power a Record Day at the Colombo Stock Exchange

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reached a new milestone as the All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed at a record 23,708.70 points on the 14th December 2026, exceeding the previous high of 23,659.70 points set on 12th November 2025. The session reflected strong market participation, with the ASPI gaining 100.90 points and turnover recorded at Rs. 9.26 billion, as reported by Ada Derana News citing the CSE.

At ATrad, we view this achievement as an important signal of market momentum and investor engagement and a reminder of the critical role that resilient trading technology plays in supporting orderly market activity.

Trusted Technology for High-Activity Market Sessions

On record market days, brokers must manage increased transaction volumes and heightened execution requirements while maintaining speed, accuracy, and operational control. Reliable order management and post-trade systems are therefore essential to ensure continuity of service across the industry.

We are proud that 24 licensed stockbroking firms in Sri Lanka operate using the ATrad Order Management System (OMS), together with the Broker Back Office solutions delivered by IronOne Technologies. This broad adoption reflects the confidence placed in our platforms to support brokerage operations under demanding market conditions.

Continued Commitment to Sri Lanka’s Capital Markets

ATrad remains focused on strengthening the technology foundation that enables brokers to operate effectively and scale with market growth. Our ongoing efforts are guided by three priorities:

  • Stability and performance to support peak trading periods
  • Operational efficiency through integrated front-to-back workflows
  • Continuous enhancement aligned with evolving market and regulatory expectations

We extend our congratulations to the Colombo Stock Exchange and all market participants on this milestone, and we acknowledge the brokerage community for their role in enabling efficient market function.
